In Saturday's league bout, the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) baseball squad the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC), by a tally of 3-0.
Next up, the Warriors encounter the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A bout, on Monday, April 14. Weddington will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Mavericks enter the bout with a 12-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).
The Cavaliers (16-3) will now prepare for their bout against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC). The Wonders enter the non-league bout with a 4-14 record.
