The Verdigris Cardinals baseball team scored 18 runs and held the host Edison Eagles to 3 in the Cardinals non-league win on Saturday.
The Cardinals now own a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Catoosa for a Verdigris Valley test on Monday, April 14. Verdigris will clash with a Indians team coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to Locust Grove (Locust Grove, OK). The Indians record now stands at 10-9.
With the defeat, Edison drops to 5-14 on the year. The Eagles travel to Memorial (Tulsa, OK) to clash with the Chargers in a 5A District 4 test on Monday, April 14. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 2-15. Memorial lost 26-0 in their recent league test against Collinsville (Collinsville, OK)
