The La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) baseball trounced the visiting Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), 11-1 in Saturday's league challenge.
The Bears now own a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Los Lunas for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 15. La Cueva will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 12-5 league win over Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 12-7.
With the defeat, Eldorado drops to 12-7 on the year. The Golden eagles host Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Matadors in a 5A District 2 challenge on Saturday, April 19. The Matadors go into the challenge with a record of 16-3. Sandia won 13-11 in their recent league challenge against Manzano (Albuquerque, NM)
