Texas High School Baseball - Shallowater wallops Friona

The Shallowater Mustangs baseball team scored 20 runs and held the host Friona Chieftans to 2 in the Mustangs league win on Saturday.

The Mustangs now own a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Idalou for a 3A Region I District 2 test on Tuesday, April 15. Shallowater will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 9-6 league win over Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-5.

With the defeat, Friona drops to 2-16 on the year. The Chieftans travel to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 2 test on Tuesday, April 15. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 16-7. Littlefield won 5-0 in their recent league test against Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX)
