Louisiana High School Baseball - Hammond holds off Springfield

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) and the host Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA), saw Hammond's baseball team gain a win over Springfield by a tally of 4-0.

The Tornadoes (6-24) will now prepare for their battle against Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 11-17 record. In their last battle, Fontainebleau was overwhelmed by French Settlement (French Settlement, LA), 10-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 14. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 14-18 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 14-14 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA).
