The Kearsley Hornets baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Mott Corsairs to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Saturday.
The Hornets now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Swartz Creek for a Flint Metro test on Monday, April 14. Kearsley will clash with a Dragons team coming off a 16-1 non-league win over North Branch (North Branch, MI). The Dragons record now stands at 4-1.
With the defeat, Mott drops to 1-9 on the year. The Corsairs host Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI) to clash with the Vikings in a Lakes Valley test on Wednesday, April 16. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 2-4.
