The Shawnee Mission West Vikings (Shawnee Mission, KS) baseball trounced the visiting Northeast Vikings (Kansas City, MO), 19-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence Free State for a Sunflower challenge on Tuesday, April 15. Shawnee Mission West will clash with a Firebirds team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Saint Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park, KS). The Firebirds record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Northeast drops to 1-12 on the year. The Vikings host Guadalupe Centers (Kansas City, MO) to clash with the Aztecs in a Class 4 District 15 challenge on Monday, April 14. The Aztecs go into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Guadalupe Centers lost 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Grandview (Grandview, MO)
