South Dakota High School Softball - Avon gets by Wagner

April 12, 2025: Avon, SD 57315

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) and the visiting Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD), observed Avon's softball team get by Wagner by a final score of 1-0.

The Pirates (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Scotland/Menno (Menno, SD). The Trappers go into the Class B bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Scotland/Menno was nipped by Castlewood (Castlewood, SD), 7-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Red Raiders battle the Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 12. Wagner will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Beavers go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 14-4 league loss to Castlewood (Castlewood, SD).
