The River Forest Ingots triumphed over the host Gary West Side Cougars softball squad by a count of 17-7 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Ingots meet the Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN) in a Greater South Shore challenge, on Monday, April 14. River Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 19-1 non-league win over Merrillville (Merrillville, IN).
The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hammond Morton (Hammond, IN). The Governors enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Hammond Morton overcame Merrillville (Merrillville, IN), 17-1, in a non-league challenge.
