The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) and the host Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL), observed Jacobs's softball team prevail over Palatine by a tally of 14-6.

The Golden Eagles (7-4) will now prepare for their bout against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Trojans go into the Fox Valley bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Cary-Grove was routed by Wauconda (Wauconda, IL), 16-9, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) in a Mid-Suburban East bout, on Monday, April 14. Palatine will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Grenadiers go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Niles North (Skokie, IL).
