The Miami Vandals softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans to 2 in the Vandals league victory on Saturday.

Next, the Vandals meet the Alchesay Falcons (Whiteriver, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 14. Miami will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Falcons go into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 20-0 non-league loss to Show Low (Show Low, AZ).

The Spartans (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against San Carlos (San Carlos, AZ). The Braves go into the 2A East challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, San Carlos toppled Gilbert Classical Academy (Gilbert, AZ), 17-5, in a league challenge.
