Illinois High School Softball - Murphysboro bounces Massac County

April 12, 2025: Metropolis, IL 62960

In Saturday's league match, the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils softball team scored a nice 15-3 win over the Massac County Patriots.

The Red Devils (4-10) will now prepare for their match against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL). The Bulldogs come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio match with a 11-3 record. In their last match, Harrisburg notched a victory over Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL), 6-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio match, on Monday, April 14. Massac County will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 11-2 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL).
