The South Medford Panthers softball team scored 23 runs and held the visiting South Eugene Axe to 0 in the Panthers league win on Saturday.

The Panthers now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grants Pass for a 6A Southwest battle on Tuesday, April 15. South Medford will confront a Cavemen team coming off a 3-2 league win over Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Cavemen record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, South Eugene moves to 1-9 on the season. The Axe host North Medford (Medford, OR) to confront the Black Tornado in a 6A Southwest battle on Tuesday, April 15. The Black Tornado come into the battle with a record of 8-3. North Medford lost 11-4 in their recent league battle against Sheldon (Eugene, OR)
