The Cherokee Warriors got by the visiting River Ridge Knights baseball team by a count of 8-7 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Etowah for a non-league game on Thursday, April 14. Cherokee will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 league win over Cherokee (Canton, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
The Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Campbell (Smyrna, GA). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 12-4 record. In their last game, Campbell was edged by River Ridge (Woodstock, GA), 3-1, in a non-league game.
