Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Olmsted Falls Bulldogs (Olmsted Falls, OH), 9-6 in a league challenge.

The Shoremen now own a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host North Ridgeville for a Southwestern challenge on Thursday, April 14.

With the loss, Olmsted Falls falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Berea (Berea, OH) to face the Braves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Berea won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Midview (Grafton, OH)
