The Shelby Golden Lions softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets to 11 in the Golden Lions league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Shelby moves its record to 4-10 on the year. The Golden Lions travel to Burns (Lawndale, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game on Tuesday, April 26. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 14-1.
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, April 26. Bessemer City will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record.
