Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bruton Panthers (Williamsburg, VA), 21-7 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jamestown for a Bay Rivers challenge on Friday, April 15. Lafayette will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 19-5 league loss to York (Yorktown, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Bruton falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Poquoson (Poquoson, VA) to battle the Islanders in a Bay Rivers challenge on Friday, April 15. The Islanders enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Poquoson won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA)
