The Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) softball routed the visiting Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), 7-0 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Knights (8-2) will now prepare for their bout against Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD). The Warriors go into the Monocacy Valley - Antietam bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Boonsboro held off North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD), 12-2, in a non-league bout.
