Greater New Bedford RVT Bears (New Bedford, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Durfee Hilltoppers (Fall River, MA), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bourne for a South Coast challenge on Friday, April 15. Greater New Bedford RVT will face a Canalmen squad coming off a 11-8 non-league win over Old Colony RVT (Rochester, MA). The Canalmen record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Durfee falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Case (Swansea, MA) to face the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
