The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Fairport Red Raiders (Fairport, NY) and the visiting Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets (Henrietta, NY), saw Fairport's softball squad nip Rush-Henrietta by a count of 3-1.

The Red Raiders now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Webster Schroeder for a Class A match on Friday, May 6.

With the loss, Rush-Henrietta falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Royal comets travel to Darlington (Darlington, SC) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Monday, April 18. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 8-12. Darlington lost 5-2 in their recent non-league match against Carolina Academy (Lake City, SC)
