North Carolina High School Softball - Pinecrest topped by Scotland

April 13, 2022: Southern Pines, NC 28387

In Wednesday's league contest, the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Scotland moves its record to 16-0 on the year. The Fighting Scots travel to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Monday, April 18. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 4-10. West Brunswick lost 6-2 in their recent league contest against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)

In their next game, the Patriots play the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A contest, on Thursday, April 21. Pinecrest will attempt to move on its 5-11 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 7-6 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
