With the win, Elkin upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Buckin' Elks host Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to battle the Granite Bears in a Northwest 1A test on Tuesday, April 18. The Granite Bears come into the test with a record of 9-9. Mount Airy won 11-7 in their recent non-league test against Surry Central (Dobson, NC)

With the defeat, Alleghany falls to 1-16 on the season. The Trojans travel to Starmount (Boonville, NC) to battle the Rams in a Northwest 1A test on Tuesday, April 18. The Rams come into the test with a record of 6-9. Starmount lost 6-4 in their recent league test against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)
