Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL), 11-10 in a non-league challenge.
The Trojans now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln-Way Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. Downers Grove North will battle a Knights squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Riverside-Brookfield falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Oswego (Oswego, IL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-4.
