North Carolina High School Baseball - Alleghany loses to Elkin

The Alleghany Trojans baseball team (Sparta, NC), was overwhelmed 11-6 in Thursday's league outing with the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC)

The Buckin' Elks now hold a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Airy for a outing on Tuesday, April 18. Elkin will confront a Granite Bears team coming off a 18-2 non-league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 4-9.

With the defeat, Alleghany falls to 5-8 on the season. The Trojans travel to Starmount (Boonville, NC) to battle the Rams in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 18. The Rams come into the test with a record of 5-6. Starmount won 7-3 in their recent non-league test against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)
