In Thursday's non-league game, the host East Surry Cardinals baseball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Mount Airy Granite Bears.
The Cardinals (11-2) will now prepare for their game against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks go into the non-league game with a 5-8 record. In their last game, West Wilkes was overwhelmed by North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 17-0, in a non-league game.
The Granite Bears (4-8) will now prepare for their game against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league game with a 10-3 record. In their last game, Surry Central was overwhelmed by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 16-2, in a non-league game.
