The West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team (Millers Creek, NC), was overwhelmed 17-0 in Thursday's non-league outing with the host North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC)
The Greyhounds now hold a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Surry Central for a non-league outing on Tuesday, April 18. North Surry will face a Golden Eagles team coming off a 18-2 non-league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 11-3.
Next, the Blackhawks face the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, April 18. West Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 11-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
