In Thursday's league battle, the host South Gibson Hornets soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Obion County Rebels.
The Hornets (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson, TN). The Lions go into the non-league battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Trinity Christian Academy nipped Tipton-Rosemark Academy (Millington, TN), 7-2, in a league battle.
The Rebels (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Crockett County (Alamo, TN). The Cavaliers go into the 2A District 14 battle with a 8-3 record.
