Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Fairfield Falcons (Goshen, IN) and the visiting Angola Hornets (Angola, IN), witnessed Fairfield's softball squad tip Angola by a count of 4-2.

The Falcons now sport a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Jimtown for a non-league match on Friday, April 14. Fairfield will meet a Jimmies squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to South Bend Adams (South Bend, IN). The Jimmies record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Angola moves to 1-2 on the season. The Hornets host Lakeland (LaGrange, IN) to meet the Lakers in a Northeast Corner match on Saturday, April 15. The Lakers go into the match with a record of 3-2. Lakeland lost 8-7 in their recent league match against Westview (Topeka, IN)
