The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD) and the host Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm (Mercersburg, PA), saw Bishop Walsh's softball squad achieve victory over Mercersburg Academy by a count of 16-4.

The Spartans now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Ridge for a Western Maryland match on Monday, April 17. Bishop Walsh will face a Miners squad coming off a 20-19 non-league win over Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD). The Miners record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Mercersburg Academy falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Blue storm host Madeira (McLean, VA) to face the Snails in a non-league match on Friday, April 14. The Snails enter the match with a record of 0-1.
