The Capitan Tigers softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Lordsburg Mavericks to 1 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Capitan moves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Tigers host Tularosa (Tularosa, NM) to play the Wildcats in a A/2A District 3 game on Tuesday, April 18. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 10-7. Tularosa won 16-1 in their recent league game against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM)
In their next game, the Mavericks play the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) in a A/2A District 3 game, on Thursday, April 20. Lordsburg will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The SonBlazers come into the game with a 7-5 record after their 7-4 league win over Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM).
