Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 20-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Organ Mountain for a 5A District 3 challenge on Monday, April 17. Centennial will battle a Knights squad coming off a 18-3 league win over Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Knights record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Gadsden falls to 1-19 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM) to battle the Trojans in a 5A District 3 challenge on Monday, April 17. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 10-10. Mayfield lost 19-17 in their recent league challenge against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM)
