Corbett Cardinals (Corbett, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), 14-7 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Warrenton for a challenge on Saturday, April 15.

With the loss, Rainier falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Columbians travel to Astoria (Astoria, OR) to battle the Fishermen in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Fishermen enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Astoria won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Seaside (Seaside, OR)
