Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Marietta Tigers (Marietta, OH), 15-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cadets now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shenandoah for a Ohio Valley Athletic AAA challenge on Friday, April 14. Fort Frye will face a Zeps squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Zeps record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Marietta falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Muskingum (Zanesville, OH) to face the Tornadoes in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Tornadoes enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. West Muskingum won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against River View (Warsaw, OH)
