Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) and the host Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), witnessed Valencia's softball squad prevail over Grants by a count of 22-7.

The Jaguars now sport a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Valley for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 18. Valencia will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Vikings record now stands at 8-15.

With the loss, Grants moves to 5-12 on the season. The Pirates host Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM) to meet the Braves in a non-league match on Saturday, April 15. The Braves go into the match with a record of 13-0. Santa Fe Indian won 10-7 in their recent league match against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM)
