Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Greenville Hornets (Greenville, MS), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Commodores now own a 14-10 record. They take the field next when they host Greenville for a 5A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, April 13. Lafayette will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 21-5 league loss to Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Greenville falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to battle the Commodores in a 5A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Commodores enter the challenge with a record of 13-10. Lafayette won 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Grenada (Grenada, MS)
