In Thursday's non-league contest, the Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA) softball team overwhelmed the host Palmer Panthers (Palmer, MA), by a margin of 23-9.
With the triumph, Holyoke moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Purple Knights host West Springfield (West Springfield, MA) to play the Terriers in a non-league contest on Monday, April 17. The Terriers come into the contest with a record of 0-4. West Springfield lost 19-7 in their recent league contest against Minnechaug Regional (Wilbraham, MA)
In their next game, the Panthers play the Monson Mustangs (Monson, MA) in a PVIAC - Bi County contest, on Wednesday, April 19. Palmer will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record.
