Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Central Linn for a 2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 challenge on Friday, April 14. Kennedy will battle a Cobras squad coming off a 15-6 league win over Colton (Colton, OR). The Cobras record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Santiam falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Blanchet Catholic won 17-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Culver (Culver, OR)
