Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) and the host Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY), witnessed Newburgh Free Academy's softball squad tip Kingston by a count of 14-11.

The Goldbacks now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Washingtonville for a non-league match on Saturday, April 15. Newburgh Free Academy will meet a Wizards squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Valley Central (Montgomery, NY). The Wizards record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Kingston moves to 2-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY) to meet the Crusaders in a Orange County Division I match on Monday, April 17.
