The crowd at Thursday's league match between the South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS) and the host Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS), saw South Jones's softball squad achieve victory over Laurel by a count of 19-2.
The Braves now sport a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia for a non-league match on Friday, April 14. South Jones will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Purvis (Purvis, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Laurel falls to 0-7 on the campaign.
