Marshall Redhawks (Marshall, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI), 11-4 in a league challenge.

The Redhawks now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Harper Creek for a Interstate 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Marshall will battle a Beavers squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Coldwater (Coldwater, MI). The Beavers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Northwest falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mounties travel to Hartland (Hartland, MI) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Hartland won 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Northville (Northville, MI)
