Kentucky High School Softball - Monroe County bounces Metcalfe County

April 13, 2023: Tompkinsville, KY 42167

The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) and the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), saw Monroe County's softball squad achieve victory over Metcalfe County by a count of 13-0.

The Falcons now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Adair County for a non-league match on Friday, April 14. Monroe County will face a Indians squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Marion County (Lebanon, KY). The Indians record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Metcalfe County falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Edmonson County (Brownsville, KY) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, April 14. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 7-5. Edmonson County lost 5-3 in their recent league match against Butler County (Morgantown, KY)
