North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pearl City for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. North Boone will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Freeport (Freeport, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Oregon falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Mendota (Mendota, IL) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. Mendota won 20-4 in their recent league challenge against Hall (Spring Valley, IL)
