The Spring Lake Lakers softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Whitehall Vikings to 6 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Thursday.
Coming up next, the Lakers encounter the Allendale Falcons (Allendale, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Blue test, on Tuesday, April 18. Spring Lake will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Falcons come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 17-0 non-league loss to Grandville (Grandville, MI).
The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Oakridge (Muskegon, MI). The Eagles come into the Western Michigan test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Oakridge edged Newaygo (Newaygo, MI), 13-3, in a non-league test.
