Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Central Wise Warriors (Norton, VA), 9-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Letcher County Central upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Cougars / Lady Cougars travel to Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to battle the Patriots in a District 53 test on Monday, April 15. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 13-4. Knott County Central won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY)

With the defeat, Central Wise falls to 3-2 on the season. The Warriors host Abingdon (Abingdon, VA) to battle the Falcons in a Mountain 7 test on Thursday, May 9. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 10-2.
