The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) and the host Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), saw Nevada Union's volleyball squad beat Ponderosa by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 15-9 on the year. The Miners travel to Liberty (Brentwood, CA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, April 13. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 18-5. Liberty won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Freedom (Oakley, CA)

The Bruins now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Oakmont for a Foothill Valley bout on Tuesday, April 16. Ponderosa will play a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Inderkum (Sacramento, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-12.
