Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL), 19-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Saukees now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Pleasant Hill for a Western Illinois Valley - South challenge on Tuesday, April 16.

With the loss, Alton falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Redbirds host East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL) to face the Flyers in a Southwestern challenge on Monday, April 15. The Flyers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
