South Dakota High School Softball - Wagner topped by Avon

April 13, 2024: Avon, SD 57315

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD), by a margin of 19-3.

With the triumph, Avon moves its record to 1-3 on the year. The Pirates host Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD) to play the Cubs in a non-league contest on Monday, April 15. The Cubs come into the contest with a record of 4-2.

In their next game, the Red Raiders play the Scotland/Menno Trappers (Menno, SD) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 15. Wagner will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Trappers come into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 12-10 league win over Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD).
