The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Cordova Blue Devils (Cordova, AL) and the visiting Carbon Hill Bulldogs (Carbon Hill, AL), saw Cordova's softball squad nip Carbon Hill by a count of 13-9.

The Blue Devils now sport a 13-19 record. They take the field next when they host Fultondale for a 4A Area 9 match on Monday, April 15.

With the loss, Carbon Hill falls to 16-16 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Corner (Warrior, AL) to face the Yellow Jackets in a non-league match on Monday, April 15. The Yellow Jackets enter the match with a record of 14-10. Corner won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Brewer (Somerville, AL)
