The Chapin Eagles routed the host Mid-Carolina Rebels softball squad by a count of 13-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Eagles (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC). The Demons go into the non-league battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Lugoff-Elgin was routed by A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC), 11-7, in a league battle.
The Rebels now sport a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Saluda for a AA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, April 16. Mid-Carolina will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ninety Six (Ninety Six, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 15-2.
