Texas High School Softball - Chireno nudges West Sabine

The crowd at Saturday's league match between the Chireno Owls (Chireno, TX) and the visiting West Sabine Tigers (Pineland, TX), saw Chireno's softball squad nip West Sabine by a count of 8-7.

The Owls now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Zavalla for a 2A Region III District 23 match on Monday, April 15. Chireno will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Chester (Chester, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, West Sabine falls to 12-17 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 2A Region III District 23 match on Tuesday, April 16. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 15-10.
